BTRC arranges meeting on Integrity

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC)'s Mirpur Bus Depot and Training Center Mirpur, Dhaka National Integrityt Strategy Action Plan 2nd Quarter 2023-2024 Financial Year Stakeholder Meeting was held recently.

Chairman of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) Md Tazul Islam (Additional Secretary) presided over the meeting. Senior officials of BRTC, employees, various stakeholders and general public were present in the event.

Director (Finance & Accounts) of BRTC, Dr. Anupam Saha (Joint Secretary) said in his welcome address that everyone, including those present among us, are our partner in implementing the Integrity Strategy Action Plan. Everyone knows about the unique heights BRTC has reached due to your collective efforts.

Fatema Begum, General Manager (ICWS & Training) organizing the event presented a snapshot of BRTC's development to all present.

During the open discussion, Mohammad Atiqur Rahman Liton said that there is a need to build a counter for passengers coming from far away to rest.

Chairman of BRTC said that passenger counters will be constructed for rest by releasing the tenants in phases.

A stakeholder named Mojibur Rahman said, it is very nice to see BRTC buses at present. Faulty buses of BRTC are being repaired and re-routed quickly. BRTC is in competition with other bus owners.

A member of the Public Transport Owners Association said, "Even as a public transport owner, I feel comfortable traveling in BRTC buses because BRTC buses are clean as well as fault-free."

In the president's speech, BRTC chairman said, BRTC does not have a chance to have a single car in sight. BRTC's defective vehicles should be repaired and beautified as soon as possible. Heavily repaired vehicles are divided into 06 zones for repair. Residential training has been introduced at Gazipur Training Center and Tejgaon Repair Factory to produce skilled artisans. BRTC will continue to strive to achieve its highest goals by ensuring the transparency and integrity of the organization.

Fathima Begum (GM, ICWS & Training), the moderator of the program, on the instructions of the President, thanked all present and announced the end of the program.
