The country is facing a severe deadlock situation since quota reforms movements began and governments announced the public holiday yesterday amid the curfew. In yesterday the curfew was relaxed from 1pm to 5pm in Dhaka districts along with many other districts. But the Police, RAB, BGB and Army were concerned and busy for ensuring the security and safety of the people and the state’s property.

It has been seen on the ground in yesterday that many places of the capital’s Dhaka such as Shahbag, Motijheel, Paltan, Purana Paltan, Arambag, Banggobhaban were under control by the Army and by the other law enforcers team.

People didn’t come out on streets without any emergency and necessary works.

It has been known that those who came out on streets for urgent works didn’t trap into any troubles and didn’t face any confrontation on the streets. Everything looks like normal in capital city like before but streets is not congested by people or vehicles that much. The law enforcers is standing in every crossroad and in intersection and checking the passersby’s who carry any kind of bags and utensils.

The army took position in Gulistan, Paltan and Zero Point of capital Dhaka. Our correspondents witnessed a CNG passenger checked by the Army; Passenger named Obaidul Hasan said that he is a foreign bound passenger for Singapore and while going he was being checked by the army and after checking the necessary documents and identification the army released him.

Nevertheless, the president’s resident the Banggabhaban is being watched closely by the Army and other law enforcers’ team.

On the other hand, the areas of Old Dhaka becomes normal again amid curfew. Lalbagh, Nazira Bazar, Sadarghat, Raysaheb bazar, Lakshmi Bazar are becoming busier again with the movement of the people. People’s came out from home after so many hectic days. So many necessary shops are open in these areas like drugs and grocery shops.

Saddam Hossain, A banker from Nazira Bazar area said that he was in home for three days at stretch, all the goods was gone in three days, so he came out to buy some daily necessary shopping to eat and after came out he saw that everything looks like normal again and he feels like live again.

On the other hand it has been seen that a long line of people is standing on the road to recharge their prepaid electricity meter bill to lighten their house. They were standing from the dawn.

Abdur Rahim, a grown man in old Dhaka said to Daily post that he is standing here from 7am and trying to recharge to his electric prepaid meter as he isn’t able to recharge it by online system because of the absence of the internet in the country.

So he is standing in the line and waiting to recharge the bill and discovered him tired and exhausted by the heat and by the other physical incapability but he has to recharge to live in peace.

An employee from DESCO authority said, “We are unable to help and fulfill the people’s demand and unable to give them perfect services as the internet service is off but we are trying our best to give the support, the service to our customers manually though it takes a lot of time to complete the process.”

Aslam Uddin, A CNG driver from Khilgaon, waits for the passenger at Kakrail area of capital, while asking why he is on the road amid the ongoing curfew and dreadful situation he said, I came out on the road after 4 long days, my pocket is empty now. All of my savings has gone now I have to income to live myself and to feed my family. There is no other way and Dhaka becomes normal again, so I feel enchanted and less fear more than before.
