After the fall of the Awami League government, important officials at various levels of administration resigned, including vice-chancellors of various public universities in the country. Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer, Pro -Vice-Chancellor, Hall Provost, Proctor, Registrar, etc. were forced to resign one by one in the face of agitation in various universities.

Out of fifty universities in the country, more than 40 university administrations resigned. As several university vice chancellors kept silent or played a tactical role in the movement, there was no movement against the administration of those universities.

However, several university vice-chancellors are still in power despite leading Awami League and Awami League-supported professional organizations, influencing various irregularities-corruption parties, and playing a role against students in the movement. They have held on to their positions without resigning despite the continuous agitation of the students. In addition, many vice-chancellors did not have to face the movement because the education program has not started in some of the brand new universities and the teaching of the students has not started even after the education program has started. Besides trying to stay for the entire term, many are trying again to join the current government.

Habiganj Agricultural University (HAU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Abdul Baset is still running the program without resigning despite the intense agitation of the students. As the first VC of this newly established university, Abdul Baset was accused of various irregularities-corruption and recruitment trade from the beginning. Not only that, Abdul Baset also made a statement to stop the interference in the trial of Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus, the current chief advisor. His position was against the students even during the student movement. The students also protested to demand resignation on this charge. However, Abdul Baset, the current chief advisor to the Awami League government and one of the opponents of the student movement, has not resigned yet.

Another Vice-Chancellor who has not resigned despite continuous student agitation is Chandpur Science and Technology University Vice-Chancellor Dr Nashim Akhtar. Former education minister Dipu Moni's house is in Chandpur, so there are allegations of widespread factionalism in the university through Vice-Chancellor Nashim Akhtar. Besides, during the agitation, there is an allegation against the Vice-Chancellor of Chandpur Science and Technology University of sending information of students to intelligence agencies. The students also alleged that he made all efforts to suppress the students on behalf of the Awami League government. However, the Vice-Chancellor has announced his decision not to resign in the media, ignoring the continuous movement of the students.

Professor Dr Abul Kashem Chowdhury, who has been given the responsibility of Vice-Chancellor of Khulna Agricultural University as a confidant of the Awami League government who gave a statement to keep the trial of the chief advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus, is also in his position. On the other hand, teaching activities for students have not started in many universities as they are brand new universities.

There are many vice chancellors who are against the student movement or are in favor of the Awami League government due to lack of academic activities. Many people are trying to join the current government without resigning. There are two universities with the same name in the country, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology. The vice-chancellor and vice-chancellor of Gopalganj Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology were forced to resign in the face of student agitation.

However, Dr Kazi Saifuddin, who became the pro-Awami teacher leader of Jagannath University, did not have to face the agitation in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Pirojpur because the education program did not start. He became the president of the Jagannath University (JU) teachers' association in the Awami League panel. Abu Naeem Sheikh, a member of Awami League's science and technology affairs subcommittee, got the same benefit. The Prime Minister's uncle's lobbying attempt to become the Vice-Chancellor of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology in Gopalganj failed, but this leader of the sub-committee of the Awami League took the post of the Vice-Chancellor of the Sunamganj University of Science and Technology. The people of Sunamganj also made a human chain against the vice-chancellor on the charge of recruitment trade.

Professor Rabiul Islam, who became the vice-chancellor of Meherpur's Mujibnagar University from being a pro-Awami teacher leader of Rajshahi University, did not have to face the student movement for not starting the educational program. Meanwhile, Zakir Hossain was the president of Bangladesh Agricultural University's Fazlul Haque Hall Chatra League. Appointed as Vice-Chancellor in Kurigram Agricultural University. This vice-chancellor, who survived the student movement because the education program did not start completely, is the current chief advisor. Muhammad made a statement to keep Yunus' trial going.

However, despite serving as pro-Awami, there was no movement against Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) Professor Dr ASM Lutluful, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahfuzul Islam and Kishoreganj Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University Vice-Chancellor ZM Parvez Sajjad. Despite being a close relative of the Awami League government, it is still in force.
