The "Dhaka University Dhamrai Students` Forum (DUDSF)" is a volunteer, non-political social organization. A social organization founded and administered by the meritorious persons of the traditional Dhamrai Upazila in Dhaka district who have graduated from Dhaka University with honors and/or are now enrolled as students there.
This organization was established in 2013. Since its inception, the organization has been conducting various educational and competitive programs including providing scholarships to poor and meritorious students of various educational institutions of Dhamrai, distributing winter clothes, helping students and people with special needs, providing scholarships, planting trees, arranging annual tour for it’s members, etc. At the same time, they also organize seminars with the students enrolled in the university to motivate the students in higher education.
Dhamrai is a traditional, ancient town. Many famous people born in this Upazila, freedom fighters, politicians, economists, doctors, education and litterateurs have made outstanding contributions at the national and international level. The main objective of the organization`s overall efforts is to make itself a partner in the modernization of Dhamrai and the construction of the developed Dhamrai and to accelerate its trend.
On December 2, the "Dhaka University Dhamrai Students` Forum (DUDSF)" celebrated its tenth anniversary. To celebrate, the organization’s former and current members gathered for a lively reunion. The Madhumati Model Town in Baliarpur, Savar, served as the venue for the colorful event.
On this lively occasion, a large number of Dhamrai dignitaries were present. The event was presided over by AR Khan Rana, chief advisor and CEO of Khan Associates. The program was administered by the organization`s founding president MA Islam Arif, advisor Imran Khan, current president Asim Kumar Das, and general secretary Nur Nazrul Islam.
Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain Mahmud, the former director general of health; Mirza Md. Ali Reza, advisor (DUDSF) and deputy secretary of the planning commission; Md. Mahbubur Rahman, advisor (DUDSF) and chief operating officer of the Padma Rail Link Project, Rail Bhaban; Khorshed Alam Halim, DMD, EBL; Mainuddin Miah, the former director general of Janata Bank; Kazi Zahirul Islam Milon, Advisor (DUDSF), Barrister Abdullah Yusuf Sumon, Advisor (DUDSF), Shahidul Islam, Additional SP, Md. Aslam Hossain, Advisor (DUDSF), and UNO, Dhanbari, Tangail, as well as Abdul Alim Khan Selim, former Director, Meghna Bank Limited were present at the colorful ceremony.
