Naogaon Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Awal said that Bangladesh is a country of harmony. Not only minority communities, but also people of all religions have equal rights to live in this country. He called on individuals not to listen to rumors in the current situation in Bangladesh and to dedicate themselves to building a new Bangladesh without listening to rumors.

He made this call at a view-sharing meeting on the occasion of the Sharadiya Durgotsav Purnmilani-2024 in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner yesterday afternoon.

The Deputy Commissioner said that as long as everyone remains united, the sovereignty of Bangladesh can be protected. If any differences arise among us, the people of Bangladesh will face danger. For this, everyone must stand by the government and strengthen the government's hand.

We must remain united to keep the bond of independence, sovereignty and harmony of Bangladesh intact. All domestic and foreign conspiracies must be resisted. He also said - the government is determined to protect your (minority communities) rights, traditions and way of life. For this reason, the administration and law enforcement agencies are always ready to deal with any situation.

The leaders of the Puja Udja Parishad thanked the administration for being able to celebrate Durgo Puja in a smooth, beautiful and peaceful manner.

At this time, Superintendent of Police Qutub Uddin, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Saikat Islam, Additional District HM Erfan, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer S, M Robin Shish, President of Puja Udja Parishad Raninagar Upazila Branch Chandan Kumar Mahanta and others spoke.

Administration officials and other members including the President-General Secretary of the Puja Udja Parishad of 11 upazilas were present at the event.
