A coral fish weighing 20 kg has been caught in the fishermen's net in Bara Feni River. The fish was caught in Neyamat Ulyahar's net in Muchapur estuary of the river yesterday morning. An eager to crowd thronged the municipal market of Sonagazi in Feni to see the fish. Abdul Mannan bought the fish for sale at Tk 1100 per kg. He is asking the price of Tk 1200 per kg of fish.
Fish trader Abdul Mannan said that the fish was caught in the net of Niamat Ulyahar. When he bought the fish for sale and took it to the Sonagazi market, an eager crowd gathered along with a few buyers. If fish will Tk 1200 per kg, sell it.
Sonagazi Upazila Fisheries Officer Turya Saha said fishermen are benefiting from compliance with various government restrictions. As a result, a large number of fish of various species are being caught in the nets drawn and placed in the rivers and seas. Hoping to catch more big fish in the future.
