23 sacks of Indian sugar recovered

Police recovered 23 sacks of Indian sugar in Sylhet's Jaintapur. A  pickup truck carrying sugar was seized and one person arrested in this incident. The arrested person has been identified as Hossain Ahmed (48), son of deceased Mubarak Ali of East Lakshiprasad village of Nijpat Union. Jaintapur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tajul Islam PPM confirmed the matter. He said that the police filed a case under the Special Powers Act as a plaintiff in the incident. The arrested accused was handed over to the learned court under police guard yesterday.
