2,300 marginal farmers from 7 unions of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila will get government agricultural incentives.
On this occasion, the Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Agriculture Office inaugurated the distribution program in the Upazila Administration Hallroom yesterday afternoon.
Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Emdadul Haque presided over the event, and Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jinnat Shaheed Pinky delivered the speech as the chief guest.
Sadar Upazila Social Service Officer Shahadat Hossain was the special guest at the meeting. Apart from this, marginal farmers from the areas affected by heavy rain and floods in two unions of Sadar Upazila were present.
Agriculture Officer Emdadul Haque said that this incentive distribution of Rabi crops to small and marginal farmers under the agricultural rehabilitation program will be very helpful to increase cultivation and production. Later, vegetables and mustard seeds were distributed among the marginal farmers of the two unions of the upazila.
