As-Sunnah Foundation distributed 40 auto-rickshaws to flood victims in Feni.
These autorickshaws were distributed at Mizan Maidan in the district on Monday afternoon. Through this, the foundation's 71 crore rupees rehabilitation project is starting, said Sheikh Ahmadullah, the chairman of the foundation. At the time, he said, we have taken some time after distribution of relief. During this period thousands of applications made by the victims have been thoroughly scrutinized. 1 thousand 500 houses will be provided in the affected areas of the country. Which may cost approximately Tk 40 crore. Apart from the housing project, there are various activities including assistance to the affected farmers and small traders in the affected areas.
Shaikh Ahmadullah said, under the relief and rehabilitation program of the foundation, 100 autorickshaws are being given on priority to the flood victims of Feni, Comilla, Noakhali, Lakshmipur and North Eastern regions. This program has started today with the distribution of 40 autorickshaws in Feni. Referring to the activities in Feni during the flood, he further said that 22,000 people affected by the flood in Feni have been given a bag of rice of 25 kg each. Dry food and essential commodities have been distributed in several phases. In the initial phase of relief operations, everyone was given mass rationing, which made it impossible to keep accurate data.
