94 new dengue cases have been reported in Chattogram in one day. This is a new record on the affected side. With this, a total of 1,961 people have been affected by dengue this year. Among them, 1 thousand 218 people have been affected in the city and 743 people have been affected in the upazila. Besides, 16 people have died. In this October, 456 people have been infected till Wednesday. But no one died.
According to Chattogram Civil Surgeon's office, in the last 24 hours, out of 94 people, 51 are under treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, 10 are under treatment at Faujdarhat BITD Hospital, 5 are under treatment at Chattogram General Hospital, 5 are at Upazila Health Complex and 23 more are under treatment at various private hospitals of the city.
It should be noted that last year, a total of 14 thousand 87 people were admitted to public and private hospitals due to dengue in the city and various upazilas. Among them, 107 people died. In addition, in 2022, 41 people died out of a total of 5,445 infected people, in 2021, 271 people were infected and 5 patients died.
