ACC filed a case against Helal Uddin (55), a former councilor of Ward No 4 of Sirajganj Municipality, on the charge of concealing the information of wealth acquisition and providing false information and possessing assets inconsistent with the known income.
Deputy Assistant Director Md Monowar Hossain filed the case yesterday afternoon at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) coordinated district office in Pabna.
The accused former councilor Helal Uddin is the son of deceased Abdul Mannan of Sayadhangarh North Bhasani Road Mohalla of Sirajganj Town.
ACC Pabna Deputy Assistant Director Manowar Hossain said that after the investigation report was sent to the ACC Dhaka head office, the filing of the case against Helal Uddin was approved on September 30. Following this, a case was filed at the ACC Pabna office yesterday.
