An agricultural technology fair has begun at Kalapara in Patuakhali with a colorful procession and discussion.
Additional Deputy Director of Patuakhali Department of Agriculture Extension HM Shamim inaugurated the fair as the chief guest at Kalapara Upazila Parishad premises at 11:00 am yesterday.
Kalapara Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Md Arafat Hossain presided over the function while Kalapara Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Apu Saha, Kalapara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Jewel Islam, Kalapara Press Club Convener Md Humayun Kabir were present as special guests.
Kalapara Upazila Administration and Department of Agriculture organized the agricultural technology fair under the Agricultural Development Project. Sultan Gazi shared his experience of cultivating with advanced technology in the fair.
Later, 6,200 farmers affected by the cyclone and natural calamities were given seeds and fertilizers of 11 types of crops.
