Al Mahir Shahriar, an 11-year-old student of Jamia Yakubia Basurhat Madrasa in Companyganj Upazila of Noakhali, became Hafez in the Quran in just seven months. On the other hand, his 13-year-old elder brother Al Fahim Shahriar became Hafez in the Quran in 11 months from the same institution.
It is known that first the eldest son Al Fahim Shahriar was admitted to the Hifz department of Jamia Yakubia Basurhat Madrasah next to the house. The eldest son memorized the Holy Qur'an in 11 months and became Hafez in the Qur'an. Changes occur in the family. After that, the younger son Al Mahir Shahriar was also admitted to the Hifz department of the same madrasa. He memorized the Qur'an in just seven months from that madrasa. Local residents including parents are happy with the success of the boys. They are the sons of expatriate Main Uddin, a resident of the Battali area of Ward No. 6 of Basurhat Municipality.
Hafez Abdul Mannan, the teacher of Jamia Yakubia Basurhat Madrasah, said that the two brothers worked hard to memorize the Quran. He said that the madrasa was established in 1994. After that, 50 people became Hafez in the Quran from this Madrasah. 25 students from this madrasa became Hafez in my hands.
Muhtamim Mufti Muhammad Idris of Jamia Yakubia Basurhat Madrasa said, I also thank the teachers who worked hard behind the students. Not only had the teachers of the madrasa but also the local residents wished Hafez's two brothers well. They expect that these Hafez will play a role in the spread of Islam.
