An ambulance has been hacked to death over a trivial matter in Noakhali's Sadar upazila. The deceased was identified as Jamal Hossain, 33, son of Rafiq Ullah, a resident of Modhusudan village in Noakhali munipality.  He died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) while undergoing treatment at around 8:00pm on Friday. Earlier, he was hacked by Ridoy, an alleged thief, in front of Trust One Hospital in the city at around 10:00pm on October 1. He was rescued and taken to Noakhali General Hospital, he was later transferred to the DMCH for better treatment where he died on Friday night.

After spreading the Jamal's dead news, local people detained Ridoy and handed him over to the police after beating him indiscriminately. Ridoy, now, is receiving treatment at Noakhali Genaral Hospital as his condition is also critical. Krisna Mohon, sub-inspector of Sudharam Police Station, said, " The victim and accused are neighbors. The incident happened due to previous dispute.
