Kendua Upazila Awami League general secretary of Netrakona and former mayor of Kendua municipality Asadul Haque Bhuiyan has been brought to Kendua police station on two days remand.
Sources of Kendua police station said that he was arrested and remanded for two days in the case of speedy trial and Explosives Act on Sunday evening. Earlier, Md Jamal Uddin, son of Md Delwar Hossain of Atharbari village, had filed this case in the name of 98 people, apart from Kendua municipality.
Kendua Police Station Officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter and said that Asadul Haque Bhuyan was arrested in a case under the Explosives Act in connection with the attack, vandalism and looting of the upazila BNP party office.
