Banned BSL 22 Activists Surrender

In a case involving the attack and vandalism at Al Hira Shopping City in Bishwanath on August 4, 22 activists of the banned organization BSL (Bishwanath Student League) have surrendered. Among them, 16 have been granted bail, while 6 have been sent to jail by the court.

After a hearing yesterday, the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court 1 issued the order. This was confirmed by the lawyer for the plaintiff, Advocate Golam Yahia Chowdhury (Suhel).

The defense lawyers were Advocate Giyas Uddin, Advocate Minhaj Ghazi, and Advocate Mahfuzur Rahman.

The individuals sent to jail are: Rajon Ahmed Apu, Zakir Hossain, Koyes Ahmed, Masud Ahmed Ripon, Abul Mia, and Imon Ahmed.

Advocate Golam Yahia Chowdhury (Suhel) stated that out of the 22 BSL activists who surrendered in this case, the court granted bail to 16 and sent 6 to jail. Previously, 5 individuals had been arrested in connection with this case, and 4 are currently on bail.

Earlier, on the morning of the same day, the 22 BSL leaders and activists of the banned organization surrendered to the court.
