Farmers of Hossainpur have started planting Boro paddy seedlings. Farmers hope that if the weather is good, they will get a bumper crop this time. As the price of paddy in the market is higher this year compared to last year, the interest of the farmers in different areas including the remote pasture area in Hossainpur of Kishoreganj is increasing. As a result, they are preparing to cultivate rice on a large scale in the rural areas of the upazila or in the cultivated and uncultivated land of the municipality.

In most of the land, the farmers are busy cultivating with tractors and planting paddy seedlings from the seed beds. However, due to the increase in the price of paddy in the country, the cultivation of paddy is increasing, said local farmers. According to the Agriculture Department, 8 thousand 20 hectares of land has been set as a target for boro cultivation in Kishoreganj's Hossainpur this season.

Farmers are busy planting iri-boro in the villages of Jinari, Pumdi, Shahedl, Gobindpur, Araibaria Union of the upazila on Tuesday morning. However, paddy planting has started in full swing in Char Katihari of Jinari Union, Saheber Char of Hajipur Sidla Union, Bishwanathpur village. Many people including Aman paddy farmer Nazrul Islam of Charhajipur village of Jinari union, Rafiq Mia of Char Viswanath village, Kamrul Islam of Char village of Saheber of Sidla union said that, because the market price of paddy is high, they are planting Boro in most of the land. Much more land remains to be planted. They also said that the price of paddy in the market is high. So Boro will cultivate more paddy, they said.
