Child cold patients double than capacity

The number of children suffering from cold-related diseases is increasing in Feni. With the severity of winter, the number of patients at Feni General Hospital is now double than the capacity.

People from different parts of the district are coming to the hospital for treatment of cold, cough, diarrhea and pneumonia. This image was seen at the hospital yesterday.

According to hospital sources, the fixed number of child patients is 26. But a total 56 were under treatment on the second floor of the old building of the hospital on Saturday. 9 people were admitted on Friday. Many are taking treatment on the floor due to lack of beds. Some came with cold and fever, some with diarrhea. There were also patients suffering from pneumonia.

Shyamoli Rani, senior staff nurse of the hospital said, now there are more patients with cold. Especially fever, pneumonia, fever, jaundice, shortness of breath, convulsion patients increased. The number of children among them is high. Basically, the number of these patients is increasing due to the increase in winter.

Bibi Fatema, an 18-month-old child suffering from fever and convulsions, was brought to the hospital by her mother Salma Akhtar on Wednesday. She said that I came from Sonagazi because his child was sick. My child was admitted here last Wednesday. But we did not get a seat as the pressure of the patient was high.

Bibi Ayesha, a resident of Dhalia Union in Feni Sadar, was admitted on Friday evening. The three-and-a-half-year-old child has to be treated on the floor without getting a bed. Next to him filled the blue organ. Her mother said that she had given various tests. Urine and chest test were done. I brought my child as she became sick suddenly with cold.

Feni General Hospital RMO Doctor, Asif Iqbal said that the patient's pressure is increasing. As it gets colder, the number of patients increases. He also said that because the number of doctors is less than the requirement, it is difficult to provide treatment.
