Dengue cases increasing day by day

Like the rest of the country, the incidence of dengue is increasing in Shibchar of Madaripur district. Due to the rain, the number of people suffering from cold and fever is increasing day by day. Children and the elderly are more affected.

According to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex, the number of dengue cases is increasing. The prevalence of this disease has increased due to continued rainfall. Every day fever sufferers are coming for treatment along with dengue test. Most of the affected patients are receiving treatment at home. Serious patients are receiving treatment in different places including Dhaka. From September 23 to October 1, 20 people were infected with dengue fever. Six of them are admitted to Shibchar Upazila Health Complex. Besides, 20-25 patients are coming for dengue test every day. Meanwhile, it is reported that a woman from Shibchar died of dengue fever in Dhaka. The woman named Chandni Begum of Jaduwarchar area of ​​Baheratala North Union of upazila was infected with fever after going to Dhaka.

It has been found that the number of cold-fever patients has been increasing since last month due to the change in weather. Children are more affected by cold and cough. In addition, the incidence of fever has also increased. Many people are suffering from dengue fever.

Farrukh Ahmed of Dattapara area of ​​the upazila who was infected with dengue said that he was infected with fever last month. Three days later, he went to the health complex and was diagnosed with dengue. Later I took treatment at home. I have been suffering for some time. He is now healthy by the grace of God.

Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Shibchar Upazila Health Complex Dr Md Ibrahim said that the number of dengue fever patients has increased at present. Six patients are now admitted in the hospital. Exams are being conducted every day. The victims are receiving treatment at home. If serious, they are admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and other places.
