The first foundation anniversary of Atgharia Blood Donor Club in Pabna was held. On this occasion, yesterday morning, a meet and greet meeting of volunteers was held in the premises of Atgharia University. Atgharia upazila Nirbahi officer Naharul Islam was the chief guest at the event.
Atgharia Blood Donor Club Founder Director Ali Akbar Rupu presided.
Atgharia police station officer in charge Shafikuzzaman Sarkar, Atgharia college principal Ataur Rahman, upazila social service officer Ismat Zerin, Pabna General Hospital pathology department head Zahidul Islam Zahid spoke as special guests.
A total of 17 people were honored for supporting the Atgharia Blood Donor Club at various times, including the top five blood donors.
Ali Akbar Rupu, founder director of Atgharia Blood Donor Club, said that about 250 bags of blood have been donated by Atgharia Blood Donor Club in the last one year. Floods in the southern part of the country, distribution of winter clothes during winter, assistance to the needy people, orphan children have implemented various programs including Iftar.
