Suman Haque, the former councilor of Ward No 2 of Mirzapur municipality, was arrested by the police in connection with the attack of Chhatra League leaders and activists in Tangail's Mirzapur in which three coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement were injured.
He was arrested on Monday night from his home in Baimhati village of the municipality. He is the General Secretary of Awami League, Ward No. 2 of Mirzapur Municipality. In this regard, Mirzapur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mosharf Hossain said that the arrested Suman Haque was sent to the Tangail court on Tuesday after applying for a five-day remand.
