A farmer named Abdul Halim (40) killed due to lightning strike while doing agricultural work in Dhaka's Nawabganj. His relatives recovered his body yesterday.
According to local sources, Halim went to plant brinjal and pepper seedlings in his field yesterday morning. Meanwhile, Halim died due to lightning strke. As he did not return home before evening, the relatives went to look for him. He went there and saw his body lying there. At that time he was bleeding from his ear. Moreover, his mobile phone was also in an explosive condition. Later relatives brought his body home. Nawabganj police station OC Mominul Islam said, Nawabganj police station has registered a case of wrongful death in this incident. The body was handed over as the relatives did not complain.
