Regional Spice Research Center Gazipur of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has arranged a Field day on “breeder seed production techniques of BARI Onion-4” at Regional Spice Research Center BARI, Gazipur today.
Eighty Onion farmers (male/female) from different upazila of Gazipur district participated in this field day.
Principal Scientific Officer (Regional Spice Research Center) Dr. Md. Masudul Haque presided over the session while Director (Research) Dr. Munshi Rashid Ahmad was present as chief guest.
At this time, Former Principal Scientific Officer (Spice Research Center) and Project Director of “Strengthening Research on Spice Crops in Bangladesh Project” Dr. Shailendra Nath Mozumder was present as a special guests in this Program.
Senior scientists from various divisions/centers of BARI were also present there. At the event, Onion farmers exchanged views on different problems, successes, and future plans for their cultivation.
