A mobile court has fined a person named Alam Bhuiyan Tk 50,000 for selling soil from agricultural land in Brahmanbaria's Akhaura.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate Gazala Parveen Ruhi conducted the mobile court in Ghagutia area on Sunday afternoon.
According to the concerned sources, soil was being illegally removed from the agricultural land in the area adjacent to Ghagutia BGB BOP of Maniyand Union of the upazila and was being sold. On receiving the information, a raid was conducted there.
At that time, the accused person was fined under Section 15(1) of the same Act for violation of Section 4(b) of Balumhal and Soil Management Act, 2010.
