Food items distribute among flooded families

In cooperation with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Khagrachari Red Crescent Unit has distributed seven days of food items to 950 families affected by recent floods in Khagrachari.

Help was provided to 950 flood-affected families of Khagrachari Municipality and Sadar Upazila in front of the District Red Crescent Office in the organization of Khagrachari Red Crescent Unit at around 10 am yesterday. These include rice, pulses, oil, salt, sugar, semolina.

Field Officer of Khagrachari Red Crescent Unit, Md Didarul Alam Rafi directed the program, and the chief guest in the event was zone captain of Khagrachari sadar zone, Lieut Col Abul Hasnat Jewell, PSC distributed a week's worth of food items among flood-affected families. Sadar Zone Captain Ijaz Ahmed Sajin, Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Baten Mridha, Khagrachari Press Club President Tarun Bhattacharya, Khagrachari Press Club General Secretary Advocate Jasim Uddin Majumdar, Khagrachari Red Crescent Unit Vice-Chairman S Anant Bikas Tripura, Khagrachari Red Crescent were the special guests. Secretary of the unit Md Saifullah, member Dhiman Khisa, Khagrachari Red Crescent unit officer Abdul Gani Majumder and others.

In the speech of the chief guest, Khagrachari Sadar Zone Commander Lt Col Abul Hasnat said, Bangladesh Army is working with sincerity in every disaster of the country. Your pain is our pain, we are also affected by your pain, and Red Crescent is always fulfilling its responsibility from the front in the service of humanity. Especially the youth Red Crescent member’s work of food distribution including rescues of victims of recent floods was commendable.
