Four traders have been fined Tk 4,700 for using banned polythene in the Chachuri market of Kalia in Narail. At that time 20 kg of polythene was seized by the mobile court.
District Administration Executive Magistrate Sanjay Ghosh conducted the operation on Sunday afternoon.
At that time, the Assistant Director of the Department of Environment and the members of the Law and Order Force were present.
The Executive Magistrate said that traders have been fined for using and stocking banned polythene. Among them, Mejbah Uddin was fined Tk 3000, Babulal Saha Tk 1000, Parmanand Biswas Tk 500 and Muzam Khan Tk 200. This type of campaign will continue in the future.
