Free seeds and chemical fertilizers have been distributed to small and marginal farmers under the Agricultural Incentive Program at Ghatile in Tangail.
In the current fiscal year 2024-25, free seeds and fertilizers are distributed among the small and marginal farmers to achieve self-sufficiency in the production of high-yielding varieties of mustard seeds, wheat, maize, groundnuts, winter onions.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Dilshad Jahan presided over the implementation of the Upazila Agriculture Extension Directorate at the Upazila Parishad premises yesterday. Ghatail Upazila Executive Officer Mst Sharmin Islam inaugurated the free seed and fertilizer distribution program among small marginal farmers of the upazila.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kishore Kumar Das, Ghatail Upazila Animal Resource Officer Dr Bahauddin Sarwar Rezvi, Agricultural Extension Officer Risalat Ahmed, Agricultural Extension Officer Manowar Hossain and others were present at the time.
