In Dharmapasha of Sunamganj, hybrid paddy seeds of two kg each have been distributed free of cost to the small and marginal farmers for crop growth.
Upazila Agriculture Training Hall was organized by Upazila Agriculture Extension Directorate Dharmapasha yesterday.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Agriculture Officer Abdullah Al Masud Tushar, Upazila Nirbahi Officer UNO Mohammad Ghiyas Uddin was present as the chief guest.
Among others, Upazila Fisheries Officer Mahmudur Rahman, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Abdul Motaleb, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Shah Alam, Assistant Plant Conservation Officer Kamrul Hasan, Assistant Agriculture Officer Sakhawat Hossain, Chanchal Mia, Raihan Hossain etc were present.
During this time, 2 kg of hybrid rice seeds were given free of charge to 200 farmers. A total of 6 thousand farmers will be given 2 kg of hybrid rice seeds in the entire upazila.
