HSC and equivalent examinations of Fulgazi and Parshuram upazilas of Feni was postponed.
Feni Deputy Commissioner Musammat Shahina Akhter confirmed the information to the media yesterday.
Several areas in Fulgazi and Parshuram upazilas have been inundated as the flood control embankment on the Muhuri River breached due to heavy rains and upstream waters of India. Considering the students, the concerned authorities were informed about the postponement of the Bangla second paper examination.
Raihan Hossain, an HSC examinee of North Daulatpur area of Fulgazi, said, "I am in a lot of trouble as the flood water has risen in the house at night. It is also not possible to study. It is not possible for us to sit for the exam in this situation. After coming to the center in the morning, I came to know about the postponement of the test."
Feni Deputy Commissioner said, "We informed the matter to the three boards (General Education Board, Madrasah Education Board and Vocational) through letters. In view of this, the HSC examinations of Fulgazi and Parshuram upazilas have been postponed. HSC examinations are being held in four centers in Fulgazi and two centers in Parshuram."
