It has been alleged that grandfather Abdul Khalek Bhola (70) died after being hit by sticks by his grandson and granddaughter in Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha district.
After this incident, the accused grandson Alam Mia (35) and his wife Rekha Begum (30) were arrested and handed over to the police by the locals. Police recovered the dead body of the old man and sent it to the morgue of Gaibandha District Sadar Hospital yesterday. Before this, the incident took place at Manmoth Kathgara village of Bamondanga union of Sundarganj upazila around 9 pm on Sunday. The deceased Abdul Khalek Bhola is the son of deceased Ashar Pramanik of Manmoth Kathgara village of Bamondanga Union.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sundarganj Police Station Salim Reza said that Abdul Khalek Bhola's body was recovered from the spot after receiving information.
