Locals arrested an unidentified man while fleeing after snatching an auto-rickshaw of a youth in Mirzapur of Tangail.
The incident took place on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Achimtala area on Saturday. The auto-rickshaw driver was identified as Ramzan Ali, son of Liton Mia of Katra village in Jamurki union of the upazila.
Mirzapur Police Station ASI Miran said that the mugger was rescued from the spot and admitted to Tangail Sadar Hospital. The hijacker has not been identified. Legal action will be taken if the autorickshaw driver complains.
