Human chain demands reinstatement of UNO

Students and locals formed a human chain demanding the reinstatement of Bheramara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Akash Kumar Kundu in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia and withdrawal of the transfer order.

On September 3, the transfer order of UNO Akash Kumar Kundu came and it spread, creating a lot of tension among the students.

The students formed a human chain at Bheramara Upazila Parishad premises around 11:00am yesterday and after circumambulating the main roads of the city.

It was known that students and some teachers of 3 to 4 secondary schools of the upazila participated in the human chain to keep the skilled, prudent, humane and good-natured UNO in Bheramara.

Students Rezwanul Jannat Tapu, Swadhin Khandaker Fahim and Siam Hossain spoke at the human chain.

Speakers said that UNO Akash Kumar Kundu, who has extraordinary qualities, should be kept in Bheramara upazila. The transfer order should be cancelled. They are expecting the present government's attention in this regard.

UNO Akash Kumar Kundu said, "I joined as UNO on June 7, 2023 in Bheramara Upazila and the transfer order came on September 3. I’m supposed to join Meherpur Sadar."
