A human chain was held on the main road in front of the police station yesterday morning to demand the removal of Md Motaleb Hossain, the officer in charge of Sadarpur police station in Faridpur.
Sadarpur Government College Chhatra Dal President Rumon Matubbar led the Chatra Dal workers spoke demanding the withdrawal of OC within 7 days.
The speakers said that the current OC still works together with the supporters of Awami League and Nixon Chowdhury. They take different cases as per their word. He harassed the members of the Chatra Dal. He misbehaved with the general public who came to the police station for service. We don't want such an OC. We are drawing the attention of the SP of Faridpur. If this OC is not removed within the next 7 days then a protest march will be held.
When talking to the OC of Sadarpur police station Md Motaleb Hose on the phone about the human chain, he said that the police do not belong to any party. The police are employees of the republic. He will perform the duties of the place when assigned by the superior authority. If the human chainers have any demands, they will first inform me, if I cannot fulfill those demands, then they will inform the higher authorities.
