The cash, ceiling fans, medical services and free medicines have been distributed in the areas of responsibility under the overall management of 15 Field Regiment Artillery of Matiranga Zone.
Lieutenant Colonel Md Kamrul Hasan psc, commander of 15 Field Regiment Artillery, Matiranga Zone, provided humanitarian assistance at the Matiranga Zone headquarters at 10:30 am yesterday.
Matiranga Zone Deputy Commander Major Murad Hossain, Matiranga Press Club President Md. Jashim Uddin Joynal, Matiranga Press Club General Secretary Md. Alamgir Hossain and media personnel were present on the occasion.
Later, Medical Officer of Parshuram Ghat Army Camp under the zone Captain Md Muyeed-Ul Karim Chowdhury distributed free medical services and medicines among 623 local hill-Bengalis at the head of the road at Kabutarchara intersection.
Matiranga Zone Commander Lt Col Md Kamrul Hasan said that there is a very cordial coexistence and good relations between the hill people and the Bengalis which is really commendable.
Requesting to maintain this relationship, he said Bangladesh Army has been by the side of the people from the beginning by fulfilling various human needs. This trend will continue in the future.
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the zone for receiving medical services and medicines and wished them success.
