Injured student files case in Feni

Another case has been registered in the incident of indiscriminate shooting and cocktail explosion of AL leaders and activists during the sit-in program of students in Mohipal, Feni, demanding the resignation of dictator Sheikh Hasina.

An injured student named Tajim Uddin filed the case at Feni Model Police Station on Wednesday night naming 31 people and 30-40 others as unknown accused.

The injured Tajim is a student of Feni Al Jamiatul Falahia Kamil Madrasa and son of Bahar Uddin of Purba Chandrapur Model Union of Daganbhuyan Upazila of the district.

According to the statement of the case, since the morning of August 4, the peaceful sit-in program of the anti-discrimination students was going on under the Mohipal flyover in Feni. Tajim participated in the program along with some of his friends. Around noon, a group of armed A-League activists armed with firearms attacked there.

9 people were killed and hundreds were injured. Meanwhile, Tajim himself fell down on the ground after being shot. After the assailants beat and hacked him and left thinking he was dead, his friends rescued him in the afternoon and took him to Feni General Hospital. He is still under treatment.

Accused No 9 in this case, resident of South Kazirbagh village of Feni Sadar Upazila, known as BNP worker and former reserved woman member of local BNP party, Rehana Akhter Ranur Chota Zia Uddin alias Dalim (30) has been arrested by the joint forces. He was sent to jail on Wednesday (September 18) by the court.

Feni Model Police Station OC Muhammad Ruhul Amin confirmed the matter and said that a student injured in the incident filed the case as a plaintiff. Appropriate legal action will be taken in this regard.

Incidentally, on August 4, AL terrorists indiscriminately shot at the peaceful movement of students in Mohipal of Fenir on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway. So far 9 separate cases have been filed in this incident.
