A Khaleda Zia friendly football match was held with the participation of the women's football team in Chatmohar, Pabna. This friendly match was held at the Haripur playground of the upazila on Friday afternoon.
In the game, Dinajpur Women's Football XI defeated Dhaka Women's Football XI by 5-4 goals in the tiebreaker. The game ended in a goalless draw in the stipulated time.
The winning team was given one lakh taka and the runner-up team was given eighty thousand taka prize money. Earlier, a beautiful display was shown by the participation of students.
Former MP of Pabna-3 area KM Anwarul Islam inaugurated this friendly football match as the chief guest at the initiative of Haripur Union BNP.
Former Haripur Union BNP President Kafil Uddin presided over the inaugural ceremony, and former Dhaka South Metropolitan BNP member Advocate Arifa Sultana Ruma, joint organizing secretary of the central committee of the Swechchhasebak Dal Kamruzzaman Nayan, former organizing secretary of Chatmohar Upazila BNP Principal Abdur Rahim Kalu and others were present.
Former Haripur Union BNP General Secretary Sirajul Islam Siraj was under the overall supervision of the game. A large number of spectators gathered from different districts to watch the women's football team play. Several players from the national women's football team participated in both teams.
