Khulna is ready for the book festival on the first day of the new year in the midst of elections. Meanwhile, 100 percent of primary and 90 percent of secondary books have reached 10 districts of the department. The concerned said that this time, new books have been reached in the district with extra security. It is also reaching schools.
Nationwide book festival is in next January 1. Parliament elections are ahead, so this year most of the teachers are busy with various training related to elections. In spite of all this, they are busy handing over new books to all the students on the first day of New Year. In the meantime, 100 percent of the books required for elementary school have reached the 10 districts of the department. Most of which have reached schools. And 90 percent of the books required for secondary schools have reached the district.
Abul Hasan, head teacher of Boyra Secondary School in Khulna said, we have already received most of the books. We have been told that the books of class 9 and 10 are left, and we will get them soon. On the first day of the year we will distribute books to students in a festive atmosphere.
In this regard, Deputy Director of Khulna Department of Primary Education Md Moslem Uddin said, we have received hundred percent of the books of the entire Khulna Department. Not only us, all the books have been sent to schools. This year, extra security arrangements have been given for the transportation of books. No unexpected incident occurred anywhere in the transportation of books. The district education office hopes to reach the remaining 10 percent of the secondary school books before the scheduled time. And they are preparing for the book festival on January 1 as before.
Khulna district education officer Farhana Naz said, some books of class 9 are left to hope. These will also come very soon. Like every year, this year too we will distribute books in every school in a festive atmosphere. This year in Khulna division, the total demand for books in primary is 79 lakh 30 thousand and the demand for secondary is 2 crore 26 lakh 67 thousand 706 books.
