Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Razzak Munsi (32), the main accused in the murder case of former UP member Mohsin Akon in Aoz village of Madaripur Sadar Upazila.
Later he was handed over to the police at Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station.
Police Superintendent Mir Monir Hossain, company captain of RAB-8 Madaripur camp, said that former UP member Mohsin Akon drank tea at a tea shop in a market on September 5.
At that time accused Razzaq Munshi and his co-accused attacked the victim with unarmed weapons. Local people rescued the victim and took him to Madaripur Sadar Hospital for treatment. Later referred to Dhaka for better treatment. Victim Mohsin died on September 8 while undergoing treatment. A case was filed in the police station. Later, a special operation was conducted and Razzak Munsi, the accused accused of the murder case, was arrested. The arrested was handed over to the police at Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station in the night.
