Miscreants have cut down 500 banana trees of a farmer's of 50 shatak lands on the banks of Barakhola Garai river in Kasbamazail Union in Pancha of Rajbari. Mitin Biswas, the affected farmer, said that the loss was around Tk 5 lakh.

Mitin Biswas, the affected farmer of Shantikhola village, when he went to the ground yesterday morning, said that he has been planting banana trees on 1 acre of land in this pasture for about 20 years. Until now, such an incident has never happened. But yesterday morning I came and saw that about 500 banana plants of 50 shatak land are lying on the ground. I do not understand why, for what reason and who did such enmity with my banana tree. As a result, I have suffered a loss of around Tk 5 lakh.

Local farmer Md Abdur Razzak said, we have two societies in this area, where supporters of Awami League and BNP live together. So far there was no problem. But at any given time on Friday night, 400 to 500 banana trees were cut in Char area. Cutting down a tree and killing a person is the same crime.

Azgar Ali, another local farmer, said that this work is believed to have been done under the leadership of Abul Joaddar, Zahir Joaddar, Kalimuddin Joaddar and Zillur of Barakhola area, but the reason is unknown. In the morning, it is seen that 4 to 5 hundred banana trees have been cut.
