Month-long basic training course for union level village policemen of Jhalkathi Sadar Upazila has started. Deputy Commissioner Ashrafur Rahman inaugurated this training course at Jhalkathi Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium yesterday afternoon. National Local Government Institute Deputy Director Mohammad Moinul Hossain was the focal point officer in the opening ceremony.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Farhana Yasmin, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Saiful Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Ali Ahmed and Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Thana Mohammad Moniruzzaman were present among others.
40 village policemen from 10 unions of Jhalkathi Sadar Upazila participated in the training course.
