Nat’l Citizens Committee holds meeting

The National Citizens Committee held a meeting of citizens from different classes and professions, including family members of martyrs, injured, and supporters of the July Uprising in Kushtia district, like in different districts of the country.

This meeting was held at 3 pm at the Bheramara Upazila Auditorium under the title "Kushtia Rising" yesterday.

The meeting, moderated by Shovon Ahmed, was attended by Abdullah Al Mamun Faisal and Tanjil Mahmud, central members of the National Citizens Committee.

Abdullah Al Mamun Faisal, central leader of the National Citizens Committee, said, "This Citizens Committee has been formed by young citizens of the families of the coup, injured and martyrs, with the aim of abolishing the fascist system and implementing a new political settlement. The Citizens Committee has a lot to play in building a new Bangladesh. The blood of the martyrs cannot be betrayed in any way."

Central leader Tanjil Mahmud said, "For the past few decades, fascism has been practiced in this country by using the constitution as a shield, so this constitution must be changed and a new constitution must be written for the people so that fascism can never raise its head again."
