Mohammad Nazir Ahmed Khan will join as the Superintendent of Police of Cumilla district. This notification was issued by the Police 1-Branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on November 19. Deputy Secretary Abu Sayeed signed the notification on the order of the President.
Mohammad Nazir Ahmed Khan is currently working as the DC of Gazipur Metropolitan. His native district is Faridpur. He completed his Honors Masters in Economics from Dhaka University. He joined the Bangladesh Police Force as an ASP through the 27th BCS. He has a good reputation in the police force as an honest, talented and dutiful police officer with humane qualities. He worked as the DC of Dhaka Metropolitan Police before Gazipur Metropolitan.
Since he was not involved in Chhatra League politics during his student days, he was transferred from Dhaka Metropolitan Police to another place before the 2024 National Parliament elections despite his skills.
Meanwhile, he was discriminated against after joining the Gazipur Metropolitan Police. During the July student movement, he was transferred from the Metropolitan Detective Police DB and attached to the Gazipur Metropolitan Headquarters.
Police officer Mohammad Nazir Ahmed Khan has been showing signs of talent and competence in his service life. However, he was deprived of the highest awards of the Bangladesh Police, BPM and PPM, only because he was not involved in the politics of the Chhatra League.
