Say no to drugs, anti-narcotics seminar was held in Barishal with the aim of building a social movement to curb drug abuse and illegal trafficking.
The meeting was organized by the District Administration and Narcotics Control Directorate in Barishal District Commissioner's conference room yesterday morning.
Director General of Narcotics Control Directorate (Grade-1) Khondkar Mostafizur Rahman was the chief guest in the seminar presided over by Barishal Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Delwar Hossain.
Superintendent of Police Mohammad Belayet Hossain, Civil Surgeon Dr Maria Hassan were special guests. Paritosh Kumar Kundu, Additional Director, Barishal Divisional Office, Narcotics Control Directorate, presented the main article.
Besides, heads of public and private institutions, heads of drug treatment centers and representatives of anti-discrimination student movement were present.
Various suggestions are given in the seminar to refrain from drug buying and selling.
