In the Hakimpur Hili retail market bordering Dinajpur, the prices of vegetables and eggs have gone down, but the prices of potatoes have gone up.

Eggs are being sold at Tk 350 per pack (30 pitches) reduced by Tk 20. On the other hand, the import of potatoes through the port continued, but the price of potatoes increased.

Various types of vegetables have reduced by Tk 20 to Tk 100 in Hili Bazar. At present, brinjal is being sold at the rate of Tk 50 per kg reduced by Tk 30, potal at Tk 20 per kg reduced at Tk 30, gourd at Tk 50 per kg reduced at Tk 80, beans at Tk 100 per kg reduced at Tk 120 and leaf copy and full copy at Tk 60 per kg reduced at Tk 50 per kg.

Mahidul Islam, who came to Hili Bazar to do the kitchen market, said that currently the price of vegetables has decreased in the Hili kitchen Market. Due to the reduction in the prices of various types of vegetables, some relief has returned among us. However, the price of potato has not decreased in any way in the market. Rather, the price is increasing day by day. The administration should pay close attention to why the prices are increasing. Along with that regular market monitoring should be done.

Sohail Rana, a vegetable seller in Hilli Bazaar, said that winter vegetables have started growing in Hilli Bazaar from the last few days. The prices of vegetables have come down slightly due to increased supply in the market. Customers have increased a lot since before. We buy low and sell low.

Sultan Mahmud, an egg seller at Hili Bazaar, said that the price of eggs was slightly higher a week ago. At present the farm owners have reduced the price of eggs, for which per hatchery (30 eggs) has been reduced by Tk 30. Currently, each khachi (30 pitches) is being sold at the rate of Tk 350. And retail is selling 12 rupees per pitch. However, it is not possible to say whether the price will decrease in the winter season. Although the price of eggs has decreased, there are no buyers as before.

On the other hand, the import of potatoes from India through Hili land port continues, but the price of potatoes in the market has not decreased.

Mainul Hossain, a potato seller in Hili Bazaar, said that the import of potatoes from India through the port is continuing, but the price of potatoes has not decreased. Last three to four days ago I sold round and stick potatoes for Tk 55. And today I am selling round and stick potatoes for Tk 60 per kg.
