BCL leader killed in Bheramara

 

A JASAD Chhatra League (BCL) leader named Tushar was hacked to death due to previous enmity in Bheramara of Kushtia. The incident took place at Golapnagar Bazaar of Mokarimpur Union of the upazila around 8 pm last Friday. He died at around 10:30 pm on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Deceased Nafis Ahmed Tushar is the son of Rabiul Islam of Golapnagar Kadamtala area of Mokarimpur Union. Meanwhile, since the news of the death of Jasad Chhatra League leader spread, there is extreme tension in the area.

According to the deceased's family and local sources, Nafiz Ahmed Tushar was eating tea at a shop in Golapnagar market around 8 pm. At that time, a group of about 35 to 40 miscreants got down from the motorcycle and started stabbing the snow with sharp weapons. At that time, when the locals came running, the miscreants left, leaving him on the road. Later, the locals referred the injured Tushar first to Bheramara Upazila Health Complex and later to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment. Nafif Ahmed Tushar later died on Friday while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Tushar's father Rabiul Islam Ravi said that Tushar was hacked and injured in the Golapnagar market. Later Rajshahi Medical College Tushar died.

Zahurul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bheramara Police Station said that we had initially come to know that this incident happened due to previous enmity. I can give details subject to investigation. The police immediately visited the spot after receiving information about this incident. Efforts are on to arrest those involved.
