Former student leader and most discussed youth of Chittagong, Md Nasir Uddin Chowdhury remarked on this in a Wednesday press briefing at Iman Tower, Chawkbazar.
He said I was released from the prison of the fascist illegal government for 26 years on 5th August '24 after the student revolution. You know that Fatikchhari once became a sanctuary for terrorists. Then I emerged as a protest force against those terrorists and with long efforts rescued Fatikchhari from the hands of terrorists and gave the gift of a beautiful Fatikchhari free from terrorism and extortion, due to which the entire people of Fatikchhari love me. I lost my two brothers and father while being in jail for a long time.
After my release, I kept myself busy with business. Taking this opportunity, some evil groups are extorting money from Garments, Balu Mahal, various business establishments, and different districts of the country, including Chittagong, by defaming my name. I have already filed a complaint with the Police Commissioner and various police stations to take action against them.
He promised that I have never been involved in any terrorism and extortion, I am not now and I will not be in the future.
