No threat to hold polls with festivity: IGP

Police IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun said that there is no apprehension about the 12th parliamentary elections. He said that there is no fear or any other situation around the election so far. The situation is normal. Hopefully, the voters will be able to vote in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.

He said these things yesterday morning while talking to reporters at the Bangladesh Police Officers' Mess in Rangpur. At this time, Rangpur Range DIG Abdul Baten, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Moniruzzaman, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mobashwer Hasan, Superintendent of Police Ferdous Ali Chowdhury and other officials.

Earlier, the IGP exchanged views with the police officers of all levels of Rangpur division to maintain the law and order situation during the elections.
