Police holds briefing parade in Kurigram

 

Kurigram district police held a briefing parade in Chilmari, Roumari and Rajibpur upazilas to ensure the holding of the 6th Upazila Parishad election-2024 in a free, fair and neutral manner.

Kurigram Superintendent of Police (SP) Al Asad Md Mahfuzul Islam presided over the briefing parade organized by the district police at Chilmari Model Police Station premises at 2pm on Monday.

Al Asad Md Mahfuzul Islam gave strict instructions to perform police duties with 100 percent honesty, neutrality, professionalism, courage and warfare in the first phase of the upcoming 6th Upazila Parishad Election-2024.

He said that strict action should be taken if any policeman behaves dishonestly and impartially and obstructed the conduct of voting in a completely fair, beautiful and neutral manner.

Besides, the SP gave necessary instructions to all policemen on proper use, maintenance and storage of raincoats, leggings, helmets, vests, sticks, batons, arms, ammunition. In addition, the SP discussed in detail the exclusion of policemen in fulfilling their election duties as part of the Election Commission.

Chilmari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Minhajul Islam, District Ansar Commandant Nahid Hasan Jani, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Md Sajjad Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police of Ulipur Circle Mohammad Mohibul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police of Kurigram Circle AKM Ohidunnabi, Bhurungamari Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Morshedul Hasan PPM and other senior officers of the district police and members of the police and Ansar  were present at that time.
