Former Member of Parliament of Kushtia-2 (Mirpur-Bheramara) Constituency and one of the members of the BNP National Executive Committee, the valiant freedom fighter Alhaj Professor Shahidul Islam said that the grassroots BNP must be strengthened in order to strengthen the hands of National Leader Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP Acting Chairman Desh Nayak Tareque Rahman, so that in the next national election we can win from this constituency of Mirpur-Bheramara with huge votes.
Along with that, he warned that extortionists, usurpers and those who are ruining the reputation of the nationalist party will not have a place in BNP. Kushtia district BNP convenor Qutub Uddin and member secretary Engineer Zakir Hossain will be informed against those who will be involved in such activities and will be asked to take action according to the party constitution. He said these things in his address as the chief guest during an exchange of views with the leaders of Mirpur Upazila BNP, Municipal BNP, Union BNP and allied organizations at his at yesterday morning.
