Roads of Sandwip are full of potholes

It is full of potholes, the road is muddy and watery in the rain. Small canals have turned into big holes. Minor accidents often occur in it. Meanwhile, thousands of people are suffering. Small and big vehicles are moving. Such a picture is the road passing by Bashiria Madrasa on the border of Haramia Rahmatpur and Musapur in Sandwip Upazila.

A kilometer south of the Guptachara road passing through the border of the three unions is now potholed. 20/30 thousand people of three unions have to move in extreme suffering. At different places of the road, brick-surges have been raised and big canals have been created. Many vehicles, including cargo trucks, fall into ditches and are often victims of accidents. And during the monsoon season, the suffering of rising brick rods on one side, on the other side due to bricks in water increases the level of accidents in rickshaw cycle movement. Various sick pregnant women have to bear more extreme suffering while walking on the road.

The southern part of this road till Bashiria Madrasa Gate was paved about 15/16 years ago due to lack of renovation, the road has become impassable and has become a death trap. Due to bad roads, drivers and pedestrians are constantly facing accidents. As a result, trucks, auto rickshaws and other vehicles have to move at risk on the road full of potholes.

In this regard, Sandwip Upazila LGED engineer Abdul Alim said, we have already been inspecting the condition of this road on the ground, we are piling the new project first for paving this road, we hope to start the work with tender as soon as possible.
